Clearly, Jack Lannom is a success. But it has not always been so. As a high school student in Nashville, Tennessee, Jack brought home report cards that were less than glowing. Part of the problem was simply inattention. "But part of it was the teachers told me WHAT to learn, not HOW to learn," Jack explains. Jack never read a book in high school. In fact, when he entered college as a psychology student, it was on a probationary basis. Jack was determined, however, to discover what it takes to get ahead. While in college, he met a man who sat with him for thirty minutes. He told Jack to give him a list of sixteen items, and he claimed he would recall them perfectly—forward and backward. To Jack’s amazement, that’s exactly what the man did! But he did more, too. Simply put, he showed Jack how his right brain and his left brain worked and explained the importance of whole brain learning.

This thirty-minute session changed Jack’s life forever. The man told Jack that the very first subject he needed to study—before literature or math or history—was his own mind. He taught Jack how to memorize sixteen items after hearing them just one time, and he showed Jack that learning is fun! Best of all, the man introduced Jack to his own immense learning potential.

Studies in the field of mnemonics (memory aids) quickly caught Jack’s attention. It was through his own extensive research at the university that he discovered the key to success that he had been seeking: the development of accelerated learning skills to improve memory, concentration and thinking. As his understanding of these techniques improved, so did his grades. The probationary student began making As, and then the Dean’s list! Jack’s professors were so astounded by his remarkable progress that they began to ask him to teach them his revolutionary learning methods. His professors became his students! Before long, the university was offering college credits to those who enrolled in his learning program. As a result of all this, he formed his very first company while still a student.

Jack’s interest in psychology, philosophy, and human behavior, coupled with his developing skills, enabled him to perfect five distinctive learning systems. His methods are so effective that he was able to learn the entire Morse Code in just thirty minutes! What’s more, when working with the Tennessee School for the Blind, he was able to grasp the entire Braille alphabet in just 20 minutes... a feat that normally takes some thirty hours! Using his tried and true methodologies, Lannom can walk into a room and meet one hundred strangers ... and recall each individual by name after just one introduction. He can hear a number containing over one hundred digits once, then repeat it forward and backward. Jack once needed only an hour to teach a high school class how to name all forty-three presidents of the United States!
